Quarters open for admissions

Cal Poly Pomona accepts admission applications for two semesters each year:

Applicants Admissions Open
First-Time Freshmen Fall semester only
Undergraduate transfers Fall semester (Spring semester may be open for some academic programs. Contact the Veterans Resource Center for more information.)
Credential Fall and spring semesters
Graduate Fall (Spring semester for some academic programs.)

Initial application filing periods

Quarter Initial Filing Period
Fall semester October 1 through November 30 of the prior year
Spring semester August 1 through August 30 of the prior year

All students are strongly encouraged to apply during the initial filing period. Applications from freshmen and undergraduate transfers are not accepted after the end of the initial filing period. Credential and graduate applications may be offered after the end of the filing period, depending on the academic program.

Veterans and Military: If your military service prevents you from meeting these deadlines, contact the veterans services coordinator in the Veterans Resource Center.

You will be notified by email once our Office of Admissions receives your application. 
Email is the official communication to students, and you must check your email on a regular basis for additional instructions about your application. It will be important for you to provide the documents requested and meet all deadlines to successfully complete the application process.
