Webinar

Presented by the Apparel Technology & Research Center at Cal Poly Pomona

In association with Apparel Made For You (AM4U), Critical Mass Manufacturing, AIMS, Eton Systems, YouSA, and Optitex

A panel of industrialists moderated by Dr Peter Kilduff will discuss how the integration of disruptive technologies, including body scanning, 3D CAD, digital dyeing and printing, computer-integrated garment manufacturing and cloud computing promise to revolutionize the apparel business. Current developments in technology will be discussed. The opportunity for purchase-activated apparel manufacturing (PAM) of custom-designed, custom-fitted clothing with rapid assembly and direct delivery to the consumer will be explored. It is argued that such solutions can boost sales, reduce working capital, greatly improve cash flow and profitability for manufacturers and retailers, eliminate the waste of overproduction, and lower management blood pressure.

Panelists include:

  • Bill Grier, Critical Mass Manufacturing
  • Henry Cherner, AIMS
  • Bud Robinson, AM4U
  • Tyler Stone, YouSA
  • Muditha Senanayake, Cal Poly Pomona
  • Per Bringle, Eton Systems
  • Julia Shaw, Optitex
  • Ken Wengrod, FTC Commercial Corp.
