Find out how parents and educators can respond to the negative influence of the mass media and strategically utilize media to teach children ethical principles.

Prof. Shigematsu will discuss the work of the Guardian Princess Alliance (GPA)--a group of educators, parents, students and artists--who have formed to transform the cultural meaning of the princess. The GPA aims to redefine the princess into racially diverse leaders who protect the people and the planet through nonviolence. Click on picture to see larger image of the Guardian Princes.
