On-Campus Interview Program
Effective recruiting begins with establishing a strong presence on campus. With access to over 21,000 students and alumni, the Career Center can connect you to the talent that you seek. The On-Campus Interview Program offers a professional and comfortable recruitment environment to conduct interviews for entry-level professional and internship positions. Program services include: organized scheduling of interviews through Handshake, email blasts to reach targeted students and alumni, announcements to campus clubs and related organizations, private interview room reservations, and an employer hospitality room complete with a computer, telephone, wireless access, and refreshments. On-Campus Interviewing is available to you for just $75 per interview schedule.
To request an OCI schedule, log into your Handshake account. Once logged in, click on the "Request an Interview" link on your Handshake homepage.

Employers may only recruit on campus for existing job vacancies or those which will exist by the time a candidate is available for employment with your organization. The jobs must be Career Center approved full-time or paid internships. Campus interviews must be directly scheduled and conducted by the organization's employees, rather than by third party representatives. Employers who recruit at Cal Poly Pomona must adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines, the National Association of Colleges and Employers Principles for Employment Professionals, and the Policies and Guidelines laid out by California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Employer participation in Cal Poly Pomona's career services programs is a privilege not a right, and Cal Poly Pomona reserves the right to exercise its discretion to determine which employers may participate or to withdraw an offer to participate at any time.

Before the Interview
Prior to the interview day, employers should make sure to pass along the appropriate information to the recruiter coming to campus. Here are some things to prepare for:
- Be aware of the interview trigger dates. They are critical to recruiting success.
- Any problems with the schedule should be immediately sent to the Gerard Russo the Recruiting Coordinator for further discussion.
- Directions should be provided to your recruiting staff. Careful consideration should be given to the time it will take to drive in traffic.
- Parking information will be provided via email to employers prior to their scheduled interviews.
- A copy of your schedule and the resumes for those students scheduled to interview will be provided to the recruiter when they arrive.
Interview Time Schedule
You may choose from three types of interview schedules. The length of the interview schedule is the total time that a student is available to the employer. Interviews begin at 8:30 AM and the last interview ends at 4:15 PM. Lunches are scheduled from 11:45 AM – 1 PM unless otherwise noted.
A 15-minute break is scheduled at 10 AM and 3 PM. This provides you with 12 interviewing opportunities.
A 15-minute break is scheduled at 10 AM and 3:15 PM. This allows you eight interviewing opportunities.
A 15-minute break is scheduled at 10 AM and 3 PM. This allows you six interviewing opportunities.
If you want to have each candidate interview with two different recruiters, you can do so with the 60-minute interview schedules. Each candidate would meet with an Interviewer for half of the scheduled time. Day of the Interview
During the academic year, the Career Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM. Interviews begin at 8:30 AM and must concluded by 4:15 PM.
If an interviewer is going to be late, please call and notify the Front Desk as soon as possible at 909-869-2342.
Prior to leaving for the day, interviewers should fill out an Employer Services Survey.
