Dr. Kathleen Davis

KathleenDavisDr. Davis received her B.S. from Cal Poly Pomona and her M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California before teaching at Tulane University, Rice University, Northeastern University and Florida Atlantic University. She is a nationally recognized expert in the field of sport economics and sport market analysis. She has presented and published nationally and internationally on a variety of sport-related business topics including sport marketing, market research, sport economics and sport sponsorship research, and has written a textbook, “Sport Management: Successful Private Sector Business Strategies.” Dr. Davis is founder, president and CEO of the Sport Management Research Institute (SMRI), which has studied sport research trends in the marketplace for the last 19 years. In, 2007, she established Global Interface Consulting Group (GIG), continuing to serve as the CEO and managing partner. Her clients include the National Football League, Red Bull North America, University of Southern California, New York Giants, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Homestead Motorsports Complex, Red Bull Global, NBA, NHL, MLS, Red Bull Arena, ACC Championships, Bank Atlantic Center, Helen Hayes Broadway Theatre, USTA, WWE, U.S. Open Tennis Championships, WTA, AVP and Super Bowls XXIX through XLVI. She received national recognition as one of the Distinguished Women in Business in 2006, and she was honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award at Cal Poly Pomona in 2010.
