Dr. L. Lin Ong
Dr. L. Lin Ong obtained her PhD in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School. She also holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego, with a concentration in International Management. Her research focuses on low-income marketplaces worldwide, especially in emerging economies, with a particular interest in the application of market-based solutions to poverty alleviation and small-scale entrepreneurship.
At Cal Poly Pomona, Dr. Ong teaches International Business, Marketing Strategy, and International Marketing Strategy. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Ong was a management consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations practice, where she advised companies in the telecommunications and retail industries on issues of international strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. She currently consults with NGOs, non-profits, and for-profit businesses.
