Spring Advising Events

MyPlanner Open Lab

Dates & Times:

  • Friday, April 6th from 9am - 2pm (relocated to 94-289)
  • Monday, April 9th 9am - 4pm (6-115)

Open lab and drop-in advising for all students wishing to make their plan for graduation, or at least a plan for next year. CA Promise or CPP Pledge students are STRONGLY encouraged to come; we'll be reviewing the program eligibility for staying in the programs, and help you fill out & submit your planners.

Career Workshop: What can I do with my major?

Are you taking classes but wondering how your academic planning is preparing you for employment beyond graduation? Our expert career counselor will discuss possible career paths associated with your major, and guide you in what steps to take for career planning. This workshop is also helpful for anyone who thinks they may be in the wrong major, or those who enjoy their major but are interested in learning about what else they could potentially do with their degree.

Pre-Teaching 101

Date: Tuesday , May 8th
Time: 12:00pm (50 minutes)
Location: 6-115

Learn about the basic requirements for becoming a teacher, what factors you should consider when pursuing this career, and what you should be doing now (while an undergraduate) to prepare for a teaching career.

Fall Semester Registration Lab

Dates & Times: 

  • Monday, May 14th  9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday, May 15th  9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Thursday, May 17th 9:00am - 1:00pm and 3:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Friday, May 18th 9:00am - 4:00pm

Location: 6-115

Advisors will be available to help while you're registering in the computer lab. Dates and times are subject to change; check this website the day of the Open Lab to find updates. The printed copies of the updated Advising Worksheets will be available.
