Modern Web Development

Modern Web Development

The Modern Web Development (MWD) Certificate program gives you the core concepts and techniques critical in developing modern web applications. Learn how to use front-end technologies to create websites that employ the latest HTML standards and presentation styles, incorporate rich user experience, deliver social content, and respond to both desktop and mobile devices. Learn to use server-side programming, such as, PHP, and JSP, to develop context-sensitive, database-driven, search engine friendly, service components integrated, and secure web applications in corporate intranets, extranets, and e-commerce settings.

According to US Department of Labor, computer specialists, such as web developers, are projected to be one of the fastest growing occupations over the next decade. Through the courses in this MWD certificate, you’ll gain necessary knowledge and skills to start or advance a career as a modern web developer.

This program is offered in collaboration with the Mitchell C. Hill Center for Applied Business Information Technology at Cal Poly Pomona. Click here to learn more about this and other upcoming IT Certificate programs.
