All youth summer residential and day programs hosted by the College of the Extended University are coordinated and supported by trained and experienced staff that has a passion for working with youth. Programs are coordinated by our Program Associate – Emeritus who has more than 15 years experience as a Cal Poly Pomona employee. Our Support Staff primarily consists of former and current Cal Poly Pomona undergraduate and graduate students. The Support Staff assists instructors in the classroom, provide academic tutoring before and after class, conduct recreational and social activities and supervise residential groups 24/7 in the Residence Halls.
All youth program personnel undergo Live Scan fingerprint screening and the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) background check and criminal history clearances. In addition, all staff must undergo tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to employment.
