Dr. Daulatzai is an Associate Professor of Film and Media Studies and of African American in the Studies School of Humanities at the University of California, Irvine, and the author of Black Star, Crescent Moon: The Muslim International and Black Freedom Beyond America and Born to Use Mics: Reading Nas’s Illmatic.
