Salvadorian-American poet Cynthia Guardado will give a reading and performance followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Nancy Quintanilla.

Guardado is a Professor of English at Fullerton College, where she is also the managing editor of LiveWire, a literary arts magazine. Her debut poetry collection ENDEAVOR was published in 2017 by World Stage Press. In 2017, she was the winner of the Concurso Binacional De Poesía Pellicer-Frost (UTEP/S-Mart) for her manuscript Cenizas, a collection of poems centered on El Salvador and grief.
