Geography and Anthropology

Advising

Each student in the Department of Geography and Anthropology is assigned a tenure-track faculty member in their major as their advisor. Students can check their assigned faculty advisor from their BroncoDirect page (under Advisor section). For academic plans, class choices, and class petition-related advising needs, please make an advising appointment through CPP Connect.

Students are encouraged to meet any department faculty in your discipline for advising needs on career and graduate school-related topics. Faculty Information can be found on the Faculty & Staff page.

For requesting a faculty recommendation letter, please contact professors who know your work well through significant coursework (e.g., term projects, papers, conference presentations, etc.) by email or by appointment—asking if they would be willing to write a letter or fill out a form on your behalf. Explain the purpose of the recommendation and why you have chosen the professor. Give the professor time to consider your request.

Students can also contact Department Chair Dr. Kelly Huh (khuh@cpp.edu) or Department Administrative Support Coordinator Remi Burton (reburton@cpp.edu) for any major or department-related questions.
