The Cal Poly Pomona Music Department hires students for part time work in support of department activities and events with a mission to provide a pleasant and professional experience to the patrons and artists at all music department performances and lease events.
The music department is part of the College of Letters Arts and Social Sciences. Students work directly with the administrative support coordinator, the public affairs coordinator and the department technician. Students also work with the department chair, ensemble directors, faculty and students of the music department.
Minimum GPA and Work Hours
Student assistants are required to maintain a minimum overall GPA and Cal Poly Pomona GPA of 2.0. Student assistants are allowed to work 20 hours a week while school is in session. If the student has more than one job on campus, the 20-hour rule applies to hours worked in all jobs.
Types of Jobs
Students are hired as stage managers, stage assistants, audio technicians, photographers, house managers, box office assistants, ushers and publicity assistants.
