Dr. Mario Guerrero elected president of the APSA Latino Caucus

GuerreroAt the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association in Philadelphia, the Latino Caucus elected faculty member Mario Guerrero to lead the association's Latino Caucus. The Caucus was first established in 1998 amongst the largest professional association of political scientists in the world. The Latino Caucus is responsible for a number of different activities intended to encourage the retention, promotion, and recruitment of Latina/os in political science.

Dr. Guerrero is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science at Cal Poly Pomona. Dr. Guerrero teaches courses on American politics including the presidency, Congress, and elections. His research includes work on campaign finance, the political implication of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, and other facets of political behavior.
