The Department opens two positions in Public Law and Public Administration

In Fall 2018, a faculty search committee are seeking applicants for two separate tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant professor to begin during the 2019-2020 academic year. 

Assistant Professor in Political Science - Public Law

The Political Science Department in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2019. Candidates with specializations in public law are especially welcome to apply.

The faculty member will be part of a small, collegial Political Science Department, which also has a Master’s in Public Administration.  The faculty member will teach and advise in the undergraduate program and participate as appropriate in the master’s program.  The faculty member will be expected to teach courses in the public law subfield, including Introduction to Public Law, Constitutional Law: Rights and Liberties, Constitutional Law: Government Powers, and Contemporary Issues in Law.  There will be opportunities to develop new courses in accordance to the faculty member’s expertise.  The position requires excellence in teaching and advising, professional and scholarly achievements, and a commitment to service to the university. Assistant Professor in Political Science - Public Administration

The Political Science Department in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2019. Candidates with specializations in public administration and public policy are especially welcome to apply.

The faculty member will teach and advise in both the graduate and undergraduate program. As part of the political science undergraduate program, the faculty member will be expected to teach courses in one or more of our subfields in accordance to the faculty member’s expertise: American politics, public administration, international relations, comparative politics, public law, and/or political theory. The position requires excellence in teaching and advising, professional and scholarly achievements, and a commitment to service to the university.
