Food and Beverage Professionals host Andy Nguyen, co-founder of Afters Ice Cream

Students of The Collins College of Hospitality Management took a study break with Food and Beverage Professionals (FBP) before heading into finals week.  

FBP, a student club at CCHM, hosted Co-Founder of Afters Ice Cream, Andy Nguyen.

Before the start of the event, Nguyen and his team gifted 50 scoops of ice cream, that paired well with FBP's supply of hot chocolate and cookies.  

With the Demo Auditorium sold out, students packed the room and left some standing, as Nguyen presented for almost an hour. He discussed his journey and transitions from real estate, fashion and his current restaurant projects, and emphasized the importance of perseverance and open-mindedness. Nguyen said success looks different for everyone, and the path to success will never go the way you planned. Students resonated with the message and remained engaged throughout the presentation and the Q&A session that followed after. 
Nguyen and his business partners were gracious enough to stay after the event was over to answer additional questions and take pictures with students. FBP gifted Nguyen with a thank-you swag bag and Chef Sheree sent him home with dinner to express our gratitude.
