Fees and Refunds

Starting Fall Quarter 2017

  • Academic Studies Program (ASP) Tuition: $3,900 per quarter
  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tuition: $3,450 per quarter
  • Application Fee: $175 (does not include shipping cost)
  • Deferral Fee: $100

Health Insurance

Students are required to have mandatory health insurance through CSUHealth Link for each quarter they attend CPELI. Students from approved scholarship organizations are permitted to sign a waiver. Other than scholarship students. ALL CPELI students are required to have the preapproved insurance plan, and no other insurance will be accepted. Failure to enroll in the preapproved insurance plan will result in the cancelling of their I-20 form.

Refund Policy

Students must request a refund from the Director or Associate Director. The refund policy is as follows:

  • Full tuition refund given only before the first day of class.
  • 50% refund given if withdrawal occurs in the first 5 days.
  • Not eligible for refund after the first week (5 days).
  • Refund paid only to the person who paid the tuition.
  • Exception: Any student who must leave due to a documented emergency may receive a prorated refund.
  • Application/deferral fees are nonrefundable.

Fees for Open University have been authorized by the Trustees of the California State University and are subject to change.
