ASP How Do I Apply

Thank you for your interest in studying English at Cal Poly English Language Institute. We are no longer accepting applications or payments through email, mail, or walk-ins. We are accepting online applications. You may access the new application on our website at http://www.cpeli.cpp.edu/ . Under Quick Links please choose the quarter and program that you are applying for and proceed with your application. Please do not forget to attach certain documents like your passport, bank statement, and any other documents that are needed.

In order to apply you will need to: Pay the

  1. Fill out the Application Form online via Quick Links
  2. Pay the Application fee
  3. Have a copy of your valid passport
  4. Have a valid bank statement with a balance of U.S. $25,400 or more from your own account or that of your sponsor

When we receive your complete application, we will issue an I-20, which you will take to the U.S. Embassy in your country to request your F-1 Visa.

You should apply approximately 6 weeks before the beginning of the quarter when you wish to start the program. Applications may be received online only.

If you are an F-1 transfer student, please contact our office or indicate this on your application, so that we can provide you with a transfer form in addition to your letter of acceptance.

We do not provide housing. However, we can give you information about staying in the university dorms at here. For information on housing, please contact the housing office at housing@cpp.edu.

If you are paying by international payment, you must create an account and email cpeli@cpp.edu upon receiving a receipt of payment.

If you are paying by one of the credit cards listed above, you will receive an email from ceuinfo@cpp.edu with your Jenzabar ID# and a temporary password.
