An Ed.D. student cannot qualify for the Pell Grant or the State University Grant, but can qualify for loans. They must complete the FAFSA, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and take a minimum of 4 units each quarter to qualify for loans. If the unit cap has not been reached or the loan aggregate (lifetime loan limit), the student may be eligible for loans until they reach the aggregate or unit cap. If they have reached their unit cap, they will be eligible for loans for one additional year at the graduate level if the aggregate limit has not yet been reached.
