Hao Ji, Assistant Professor
Hao Ji is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University in 2016, advised by Prof. Yaohang Li. Prior to this, he studied Data Visualization in the Visualization and Cooperative Computing Lab at Hefei University of Technology. He received the Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and the Master's degree in Computer Science from Hefei University of Technology in 2007 and 2010, respectively.
His research interests include big data analysis, large-scale linear algebra, and high-performance computing. His research projects have been supported by NSF (Award Link, College Newsletter), XSEDE, and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He received the Modeling and Simulation research fellowship from the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation center at Old Dominion University. He received the Gene Newman awards for excellence in Modeling and Simulation research at Old Dominion University in 2014 and 2015, respectively, and the Provost's Teacher-Scholar Awards at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
