Housing Green Initiatives

University Housing Services (UHS) supports Cal Poly Pomona’s Climate Commitment to reduce our carbon footprint and global warming emissions as part of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment to achieve climate neutrality. UHS strives to find ways to reduce consumption of energy and water, reduce landfill waste through recycling, and develop strategies to promote the reuse of items through collection campaigns for charities and other organizations. The UHS Green Committee is comprised of Housing staff members and is open to student/resident participation, with the specific goal of building awareness, educating and promoting sustainable practices among its 1800 residents. Resident Advisors

Resident Advisors oversee life in the residence halls and residential suites throughout the year.  RAs host educational and social programs, build community by helping residents connect, promote safety, respond to emergencies, and work together with each other to ensure residents are engaged in their residential community.  Want to know who the RAs are in your community?
