Newly Acquired Chinese Language Collection Exhibition
The University Library is excited to announce the donation of a Chinese-language collection from the Evergreen Cultural Center in Monterey Park, California.
In our effort to enhance the Library's Chinese collection in support of student success, we are very pleased to have the opportunity to receive this collection of more than 300 items which span a multitude of subjects including archaeology, architecture, art, classical and modern literature, cuisine, folklore, history, religion (particularly Buddhism), and traditional medicine. Select pieces of this collection will be featured in the exhibit cases and on the displays on the Fourth Floor of the Library in the "Books PR Language, Literature" area. See the marked location in red below:
The exhibition is available for viewing from October 15, 2018 to February 8, 2019.
The Chinese-language materials are cataloged using standard Pinyin Romanization systems adopted in the U.S. and other Western Countries in the 1970s.
The University Library would like to extend its gratitude and appreciation to the Evergreen Cultural Center for its generous donation.
