Get to Know Your Subject Librarian
This week's tip, "Get to Know Your Subject Librarian" can be a time saver!
One of your most valuable resources is the subject librarian. From the subject librarians' list, select the librarian for your department. Each academic department has an assigned librarian that manages the library collection for that area and is knowledgeable about research in that field. They serve as the liaison between the library and that department's students, faculty, and staff. Librarians are available to help you with your research and to help you identify and use various library resources and services. Need help locating a resource or help citing a source? Get to know your librarian.
Contact a librarian to make an appointment or stop by the research help desk for immediate assistance. You can also get help from a librarian by using our askNOW service. This service is available 24/7 and provides help from Cal Poly Pomona and other CSU librarians during business hours and from other librarians acrosss the U.S. at other times. Not sure which database to use, "ask a librarian".
You can also text a librarian at 909-891-0991. For more information visit: http://libanswers.library.cpp.edu/a.php?qid=753867 (text charges may apply, check with your carrier).
