No. 43 - Another view of the boiler room. The workmen are shoveling grapes onto the conveyor to be conveyed on to the crusher, and then pumped to the fermenting room.

No. 5977 - Workers shoveling grapes from the gondola cars, with the train tracks, crusher and fermenting room also visible. The gondolas wouldn't empty completely, so the grapes needed to be taken out with a fork and placed on the conveyor. The conveyor would take the grapes up to the crusher, and then from the crusher they would finally be pumped to the fermenting room.

No. 60 - Men shoveling grapes recently picked in the fields into a conveyor. Four tanks inside a railroad car that would be used to bring the grapes to the winery since vineyards could be quite a distance from the winery. The weight of the grapes caused juice to come out of the grapes, so slats were placed in the bottom of the tank for the juice to run out through a valve.
