No. 10 - Three cellars and the boiler room at the backend of the winery. Cellar number one is on the left, next cellar number two, then cellar number three with the cupolas on top. Cellar number four is underneath cellar number three. The vines are four to five years old.

No. 24 - Tanks in the fortifying and boiler rooms. The pomace can be seen on the conveyor trough after it has gone through the press.

No. 28 - Large lumber pile outside of the cooper shop ready to be sawed into 2x2 stakes to stake the vines. Originally the vines were pruned (no stakes), but later all the vines were converted to stakes because it was a shorter period until the grapes could produce a crop.

No. 40 - Line shafts on the west side of the winery with a man emptying wagons into the crusher pit. The men are seen emptying the wagons with the four tanks into the crusher pit, where the grapes will be crushed and the stems eliminated.

No. 46 - The mule barn with people standing in the yard.

No. 49 - East end of cellar #3 with the railroad tracks for the train that had the 6,000 gallon tank cars to ship the wine across the country. To the left can be seen the air vents for cellar #4, which lay underneath cellar #3.

No. 51 - Early picture (c. 1906/07) of cellar #1 and part of the room at the east end of the winery. A railroad car is on a track toward the center.

No. 53 - Back end of the winery with young vines in foreground, eucalyptus trees, and a pile of lumber to be used for grape stakes.

No. 5977 - Workers shoveling grapes from the gondola cars, with the train tracks, crusher and fermenting room also visible. The gondolas wouldn't empty completely, so the grapes needed to be taken out with a fork and placed on the conveyor. The conveyor would take the grapes up to the crusher, and then from the crusher they would finally be pumped to the fermenting room.

No. 5979 - 5-6 year old vines at the eastern end of cellar number one. Eventually they will grow to cover the whole back end of the cellar.

No. 59 - Crushers on the north side of the boiler room where the mule wagons were unloaded onto the conveyor. The conveyor then took the grapes onto the crusher. The conveyor was powered by a large steam engine, and some of the belt drives can be seen in the picture.

No. 61 - This shows the east end of the winery, a stone building, and the roof of the winery. It is a very large and long roof of corrugated iron. It stayed as a corrugated roof until my Dad [Marius Biane] took over the operation.

No. 65 - Back end of the distillery and the boiler room with grapes being conveyed up to the crusher. The RR track visible is a line shaft from the Southern Pacific to the winery.
