No. 14 - Young vineyard with the temporary narrow gauge RR track laid on the sandy soil to convey the grapes to the winery. Very heavy work. Each section of track needed four men to lay it down and bolt it together. Mr. Signorio's buggy is also visible in the photo.

A busy scene in one of the world's largest vineyards, at Guasti, Calif. Workers are loading the wine product on a train which gathers in the product fom 6'000 acres of vines.

Workmen are unloading the little cars in which part of California's record grape crop is brought in from the vineyards to the winery at Guasti. Greatest bulk of the record crop was estimated at 2,610,000 tons. (International News Photo 12/03/1943)

In person the images are crisp and clear. This particular slide shows the winery's rail road cars hauling wooden lug boxes of grapes from the vineyard.
