Engineering Scholars Program
Here are some useful resources for ESP Students to consider:
Women in Engineering Program
Cal Poly Pomona's Women in Engineering Program (CPP WE) was established in 2012 to provide young women the resources and supportive services to succeed in engineering. CPP WE serves women undergraduate and graduate students and faculty in the College of Engineering.
Maximizing Engineering Potential
The mission of MEP: Center for Gender, Diversity & Student Excellence is to prepare traditionally under-represented minority, women, low-income, and first-generation engineering students to become professionals and leaders capable of tackling life-long, intellectual, socio-ethical, and career challenges in a changing world.
Project Lead the Way
Cal Poly Pomona is partnering with Project Lead The Way to create dynamic partnerships with local schools to prepare an increasing and more diverse group of students to be successful in engineering programs.
Students interested in the entrepreneurial process have the opportunity to participate in an interdisciplinary sequence of courses utilizing the Product Development and Commercialization Lab to market a product to the public. This course has gained the attention of NASA and students in the class may have an opportunity to work with NASA inventors.
Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs)
REU programs offer opportunities for undergraduates to get paid to work on a research project for the summer with a faculty mentor or graduate program. Students must contact the individual sites for information, application materials, and deadlines. REUs are great to put on your CV or resume, and you make meaningful contacts with potential graduate or career advisors.
