President’s Scholars

Cal Poly Pomona recognizes outstanding student achievement through the President’s Scholars program. Considered the most prestigious scholarship series at the university, the President’s Scholarship awards were established in 1983 through the generosity of individual donors dedicated to recognizing student achievement, perseverance and achievement. Awards each year are based on applicant academic and co-curricular excellence (GPA of 3.5 or above) as well as personal interviews, letters of recommendation and strength of application essay.

Each of the twenty-five benefactor-named President’s Scholarships are awarded annually to undergraduate and graduate students from each of the University’s eight academic colleges. Recipients are recognized annually by the University President at a special presentation in the fall.
