I am currently a Full Professor and the Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion. I have been teaching at Cal Poly Pomona since 2003 and during that time, I have taught a variety of courses in the area of physical education teacher education at the undergraduate and graduate level. Additionally, I have supervised numerous students during their directed student teaching experiences.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton and my Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Los Angeles. Upon the completion of my Master’s degree, I went on to study at the University of Northern Colorado where I graduated in 2003 with a Ph.D. in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in teaching. Prior to my appointment at Cal Poly Pomona, I taught middle school physical education for three years in Colorado.
