Students will have the opportunity to meet representatives of the nation’s leading graduate schools offering Master’s and Ph.D. degrees and to attend workshops and panel sessions. In addition, students will have free access to the Princeton Review’s online GRE prep course (a $500 value).

What is the forum?

The California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education is an all-day program designed to acquaint students from under-represented groups with the academic and career opportunities associated with advanced study in a wide range of disciplines.

Who can attend?

Because space is limited, attendance at the Forum is by invitation only. Students are elected by their home campuses using the following criteria:

  • Sophomore, junior, or senior class standing or candidacy for a master’s degree
  • Grade-point average 3.0
  • Promise of success in graduate work
  • Faculty recommendations
  • Membership in a group underrepresented in higher education
