Physics and Astronomy Alumnus Viranga Perrera publishes in Nature
Viranga Perrera, a Physics and Astronomy Alumnus now at UC Santa Cruz has recently published in the prestigious journal Nature. The article, titled "The tidal–rotational shape of the Moon and evidence for polar wander," is about the interesting topography of the Moon. According to the analysis conducted by Viranga Perrera and his collegaues, the tidal forces gave moon its shape.
