Bianca Cruz

Bianca Cruz is a 4th year Physics major who has been working in Dr. Abramzon’s lab since Winter 2018. Her current work aims to improve the longevity of total joint replacement surgeries by adhering a common bone cement to plasma treated Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. She has been awarded the CPP President Discovery Fellowship, with her lab members Panik Moradian and Anthony Oceguera. She has also participated in programs such as MBRS-RISE and CAMPARE, which enabled her to work on fabricating microfluidic devices to generate complex droplets, termed water-in-oil-in-water droplets, for cellular analysis at Stanford University.
