EOP students who qualify for financial aid may receive an EOP grant of up to $2,000 per year. However, due to limited campus program funding, the average award per student is $900 per year and prioirty is given to our incoming first year and transfer students and then awarded to eligible continuing students (sophomore, then junior, then senior students if funds are still available).
EOP Grant Eligibility:
Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is between $0 - $1,500
Student must be enrolled in at least 12 units each term.
To be considered for the grant, EOP students must apply for financial aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application. Apply as soon as possible after October 1st each year, and before the financial aid priority filing date of March 2nd.
EOP grants will only be awarded as long as funds are available. You will have a much better chance of receiving an EOP grant and other financial aid for which you are eligible if you apply before March 2nd.
The FAFSA or Cal Dream Act application is a separate process from the EOP admission process.
For more information on applying for FAFSA or the Cal Dream Act application, please contact Cal Poly Pomona’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
