Procedures for Requesting Changes to SAN Security

To request SANS Security updates/changes, please do the following:
  1. Open Service Now ticket at https://cpp.service-now.com/navpage.do with the following information:
    1. Ticket to be opened by manager or
    2. Include Manager’s approval in the ticket request.
    3. When requesting changes, if the requester is unsure of the user group name, he/she may provide the document folder name with the full path to the folder.

  2. To add new users, please provide the following:
    1. First and Last Name (i.e, Bronco Billy)
    2. BroncoName (i.e., broncobilly)
    3. BroncoNumber (i.e., 000000000)
    4. Specify Staff or Student Assistant
    5. User Group Name (i.e. AO_Staff)
      For example:
      Group Members of: CN=SOS-Administration
      Bronco Billy (broncobilly)
    6. Access for shared group folders must be approved by the folder owner.  The owner's approval must be present in the ServiceNow Ticket.

  3. To change/modify users access, please provide the following:
    1. First and Last Name (i.e, Bronco Billy)
    2. BroncoName (i.e., broncobilly)
    3. BroncoNumber (i.e., 000000000)
    4. User Group Name to be added to or removed from.
      For example:
      Group Members of: CN=SOS-Administration
      Bronco Billy (broncobilly)

  4. To delete/remove users (that are no longer with the department*), please provide the following:
    1. First and Last Name (i.e, Bronco Billy)
    2. BroncoName (i.e., broncobilly)
    3. BroncoNumber (i.e., 000000000)
      For example:
      Group Members of: CN=SOS-Administration
      Bronco Billy (broncobilly)

      *Please note: For this request, user will be deleted from ALL groups associated with the requesting department.*

  5. For multiple users, a word document can be attached with the ticket request.
