U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) has hosted the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots toy drive on campus for the past three years. In the first year, the center partnered with the 4th LAR Alpha Co. U.S. Marine Corps Reserve unit in Camp Pendleton. We collected 6,000 toys, over 900 of which were donated to the Pomona Police department and dispersed to underprivileged children in the Pomona area.

This year, the VRC collaborated with several departments across campus to participate as toy drop-off locations. The following programs registered to participate: English and foreign languages department, College of Business Administration, Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture, College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences, Career Center, Registrar’s Office and the Bronco Advising Center. Each of these programs were committed to contribute to the Toys for Tots campaign.

This effort is very meaningful to many of our Marines on campus, who take pride in participating in this noble cause. The VRC will continue to be a dedicated supporter for the Toys for Tots campaign for years to come.
