Crane to Hoist Roofing Materials at College of Engineering Starting on Monday. Sept. 28

 

SuSummary of disruption: A crane will hoist materials for the installation of a new roof at the College of Engineering (Building 9) on Monday, Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Sept. 29. Crane operators are scheduled to be on site from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. both days. The area between the College of Engineering and the Engineering Laboratories (Building 17) will be fenced off for the crane. The roof replacement project is scheduled for completion on Friday, Nov. 27.

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to move materials for replacement of the roof. A semi-tractor truck also will be parked near the work area.

How does this affect me? Use the Olive Lane entrance for access to the College of Engineering, The area between the College of Engineering and the Engineering Laboratories (Building 17) will be limited to emergency personnel. The construction work and equipment may cause intermittent noise, dust and odor.

What do I need to do? Use caution when approaching work areas or use detours. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
