Electrical Outage in Four Buildings Scheduled on Saturday, June 11

Summary of disruption: An electrical interruption to four buildings has been scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. Campus electrical crews will be on standby to restore power.

The affected buildings are:

Art Department and Engineering Annex (Building 13)

University Library (Building 15)

Roundhouse (Building 16)

Cistern (Building 141)

Reason for disruption: Allow EIU contractor crews to install electrical equipment that will be part of the new campus power system.    

How does this affect me? Avoid being in the buildings during the power outage.

What do I need to do? Turn off lights, computers, and other electronic equipment before leaving offices and workspaces on Friday, June 10. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
