Skylight Replacement at University Library to Begin on Friday, July 9

Summary of disruption: The skylights on the roof of the University Library (Building 15) will be replaced starting on Friday, July 9. Crews will perform the work on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The project is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Aug. 3.

Reason for disruption: Allow the installation of new skylights. A crane will be situation near the library on Tuesday, July 13 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to take down old skylights and hoist new skylights.

How does this affect me? Sections of the sixth floor of the library will be cordoned off as the work is being performed. Drivers of campus vehicles and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching the crane location.

What do I need to do? Use detours around the work area. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
