Two Shutdowns of Portion of Temple Avenue in City of Walnut to Start on Friday, Feb. 25

Summary of Disruption: The construction of a transit center and pedestrian bridge overcrossing at Mt. San Antonio College will force two temporary closures of Temple Avenue between Grand Avenue and Bonita Avenue. The first closure will occur on Friday, Feb. 25 starting at 6 p.m. and will continue through 6 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26. The second closure will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 and will last until 6 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27.

Reason for Disruption: Allow construction of a transit center and pedestrian overcrossing to serve Mt. San Antonio College students.

How does this affect me? Eastbound and westbound traffic lanes on Temple Avenue will be temporarily closed between Grand Avenue and Bonita Way. Follow the detour onto Bonita Way, Edinger Way and Mountaineer Way to connect to Grand Avenue or Temple Avenue (see red detour route on map).

What do I need to do? Proceed with caution when approaching the street closure and follow detour signs. Allow extra time to get to destinations.
