For the fifth consecutive year, Cal Poly Pomona had the most students participating in the annual Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research. The 94 students, representing 19 academic departments, were given the opportunity to present on research that they have been working on for the past year.
The Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research is hosted annually by colleges and universities throughout Southern California. More than 1,100 students and faculty members from 62 institutions attended this year, and more than 560 presentations were made. Each consisted of either 15-minute oral or one-hour poster presentations. Students gained professional experience in presenting research while also getting the chance to meet students from different institutions.
