A Cal Poly Pomona education is an investment worth making - one of the best in the nation - according to Payscale, the web's largest database of salaries and compensation.
The 2014 College ROI Report ranks Cal Poly Pomona 74th out of 1,312 colleges and universities from around the country, putting it in the top six percent.
A regional powerhouse, Cal Poly Pomona places higher than local universities including USC (179) and UCLA (105). It placed better than all of the UC campuses except Berkeley and San Diego.
To calculate return on investment, Payscale gathered salary data of alumni 20 years after graduation and the actual cost of attending college.
"Our faculty keep our curriculum dynamic in an ever-changing world, and this ranking showcases the advantage of having a hands-on education," says President Michael Ortiz. "Cal Poly Pomona graduates are prepared to take on new challenges. That's why they perform so well in the workplace."
For non-California students, Cal Poly Pomona is also an excellent investment and ranks 113th when comparing the ROI of out-of-state tuition.
