Early registration is $35 for adults and $20 for students with school ID. Registration on the day of the event costs $5 more - $40 and $25, respectively. All early registrants will receive a T-shirt. In 2015, almost 600 runners and walkers participated.
Matt's Run is named after Matt Myers, a Cal Poly Pomona communication student who died in 2005. To honor his memory, Myers' parents worked with the university to sponsor a run to raise funds for scholarships and celebrate every day heroes. The race is now one of the university's fall traditions.
