Faculty, Staff, Students Design Future-Ready Model for CPP

Emma Gibson, Dean of the Library, presents her team's finding during The Future of Work and Civic Engagement Project Design Day.

As part of the Future of Work and Human and Civic Engagement initiative, teams of faculty, staff, and students began designing models to help prepare all CPP students for the future at Design Day.

Teams at the April 19 event were tasked with designing initial prototypes of programs or campaigns that focused on specific topics - including big data, student milestones, advocacy networks, and more, then shared these prototypes with the all participants.

The workshop was built upon previous work done by the Career Leadership Collective. The organization engaged with over 140 faculty, staff, and academic leaders and over 540 student survey respondents last fall to better understand CPP culture and hear from students about their biggest goals for and concerns about future career pathways. These findings were shared and discussed on Explore Day on March 29.
