The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) will host a "Future Forward" event that will give veterans and students alike an opportunity to explore and prepare for their next step as they complete their academic careers.

The event is Friday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the multipurpose rooms located on the first floor of the Student Services Building (121).

Future Forward will showcase opportunities in employment, education, veteran resources, and entrepreneurship, and will feature keynote speaker Tyler Merritt, chief executive officer at Nine Line Apparel.

"This event will give students the opportunity to work towards their professional career goals by building their professional network. Such connections will offer our students invaluable access to mentorship, resources, and career advancement opportunities," said Elke Azpeitia, veterans services coordinator at the VRC.

Additionally, on-campus and off-campus organizations will host resource booths and feature panelists who will share insight into their respective field.
