Ready for a fantastic afternoon of fun? Cal Poly Pomona’s beloved Hot Dog Caper makes its enchanting return to campus on Thursday, Oct. 9!

Organizers will conjure up a magical event for students, staff and faculty in the Bronco Commons from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. that will include free hot dogs, chips, drinks, popsicles and lots of activities.

Guests can look forward to live entertainment, face painting, balloon animals and giveaways from various different resource booths— including HDC sponsor Albertsons, who will be giving away a plethora of prizes to those with the Deals and Delivery app downloaded. And don’t forget to capture all the mystical moments at the photo booth and 360 video booth before the clock strikes midnight (or well, 1:30 p.m.).

Hosted by Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises, this campus-favorite event wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous support of over 200 passionate volunteers from across campus and the broader CPP community, and generous event sponsors: Hoffy, Pepsi Beverages Company, First Class Vending, Albertsons, and Town & Country Event Rentals. At the 2024 Hot Dog Caper, volunteers distributed around 13,000 beef, halal and veggie hotdogs, 4,000 bags of chips, 6,000 drinks and 4,000 popsicles.

A special thank you to campus partners, Facilities Planning and Management, Associated Students Inc. and Bronco Intercollegiate Athletics for their on-going support and contributions to the event.

Escape the reality of the day-to-day routine and invoke a whimsical spirit of fun at the 42nd Annual Hot Dog Caper!
