Cal Poly Pomona Dean Sandeep Krishnamurthy Recognized in LA Business Journal’s LA500 for Second Consecutive Year
Sandeep Krishnamurthy, dean of the College of Business Administration and the Singelyn Graduate School of Business at Cal Poly Pomona, has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 LA500, marking his second consecutive year on the prestigious list of the 500 most influential leaders in Greater Los Angeles.
The annual LA500 recognizes leaders across business, education, civic leadership and innovation who are shaping the future of the region. Krishnamurthy’s continued inclusion underscores the college’s growing influence in higher education and his leadership in advancing student success, economic mobility and industry engagement across Southern California.
The publication highlights Krishnamurthy’s leadership in launching the Tarkington Business Futures Institute, supported by a transformative gift from alumnus Alan “Al” Tarkington (’64, business administration) and Stephanie “Steve” Tarkington, along with the CBA Career Center, which equips students for careers through workshops, industry speakers, leadership talks and signature programs like Behind the Business.
“We are proud of Dean Sandeep Krishnamurthy for being recognized among the region’s most influential leaders in higher education,” said Terri Gomez, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. “This honor reflects his continued leadership and the shared commitment of our faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters to advance student success and expand pathways that prepare students for meaningful careers.”
This follows his historic first selection in 2025, which marked the first time a leader from the college had been included on the LA500.
