Forensic Accounting Adjunct Professor Victor Cardona advises tracking checks through your bank, reporting suspected fraud immediately, and contacting law enforcement or the U.S. Postal Service if a mailed check is stolen. He also recommends freezing your credit to prevent further damage if you become a victim.
