CPP's VITA program offers free tax preparation services

Cal Poly Pomona’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering free tax preparation for low- to moderate-income taxpayers earning $68,675 or less for the 2025 tax year. Staffed by IRS-certified accounting students and alumni and supervised by faculty who are certified public accountants, the program is offering free services at public libraries in Pomona, La Puente, Duarte and Baldwin Park through April 11. Since 2017, CPP’s VITA program has prepared more than 2,500 returns, generating over $8.6 million in refunds — including $2 million during last year’s filing season alone.
