Ricardo Vargas (‘27, master’s in business administration) set a CPP men’s cross country record at the UC Riverside Invitational, finishing second overall in the 8K with a time of 23:26.4 and leading the Broncos to a third-place team finish. Vargas became the first Bronco to break 23:30 in the event, surpassing a program record that had stood since 2016 by more than 20 seconds, while his 4:42.9 average mile pace also broke a program mark dating to 1990.
