Cost of Attendance

Your Cost of Attendance is broadly defined as the average cost to attend Cal Poly Pomona for one academic year, which consists of the Fall and Spring semesters. Tuition and fees are paid directly to Cal Poly Pomona, but are only a part of your total education costs. You also have to budget for room and board (housing and food), books, and transportation.

The cost of attendance budget helps you and the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships determine approximately how much money you need to attend Cal Poly Pomona, and how much financial aid you are eligible for to help meet that goal.

Student Employment & Work Study

If you’d like to find an on-campus job, CPP has a wealth of on-campus, part-time, full-time, internship, co-op and volunteer opportunities posted by employers seeking to hire Cal Poly Pomona students and alumni. The university uses Handshake, a 24/7 online job board that also provides access to Career Center events, such as career fairs, workshops and information sessions, and on-campus interviews.

As part of your financial aid package, Federal Work Study jobs provide an amazing opportunity to earn part of your college costs rather than increasing the amount you borrow through loan. FWS jobs are available during the Fall and Spring semesters to undergraduate, credential and graduate students who meet federal and institutional eligibility requirements. Most Work-Study jobs are located on campus but, on occasion, a limited number of off-campus opportunities become available.
